[XeTeX] Syriac kashideh OFF?

Hello!

Not too long ago, Jonathan posted some code for using "kasideh" with
Persian and I was able to modify it to work for Syriac as well.

Can you (Jonathan or anyone else) tell me how I can make an exceptions
list to add to this code? For example, I'd like to have the word "qolo"
not use kashida, since lomad followed by a final alef shouldn't stretch.
I tried to insert \mbox{} but it still uses the tatwil and stretches or
else it prevents the right ligature from being used. Maybe there's some
other way? Or somehow make a macro/command for exceptions?

I've attached images of the desideratum and non-placet (i.e., what I
want to see and what I don't like).

Any help is appreciated.
