[XeTeX] XeLatex + Unicode + Footnote issue

Hi,

I have added the following to enable horizontal footnotes. (i.e each
footnote will be placed adjacent to each other, seperated by a
space, instead of seperated by a newline)

usepackage{bigfoot}
\DeclareNewFootnote[para]{default}

This does NOT work when I have my content as sanskrit.
However, the same works if I make it english. [This also works when I use
combinatin of devnag and latex for sanskrit, instead of xelatex with
unicode]
