I expressed similar concerns back when it was first announced (I
wanted a direct port of TeXShop using gnustep).
That said, as an _option_ for people who want to be on the cutting
edge or wish to be cross-platform compatible, I can certainly
understand the attraction.
TeXShop is still the default, right?
