Hi, this isn't really a bug with fancyhdr, but with the way gb4e 
implements some active characters. There is a new version of gb4e 
being worked on currently which should address this issue, so I 
wouldn't worry Piet about it.  For the moment, the workaround of 
loading gb4e last solves the problem.
