Howdy,

If you've installed MacTeX-2009 you should either remove the call to the file that is setting these environment variables (in your .profile or .bash_profile) or, if you have other items from MacPorts, putting /ust/texbin at the front of your PATH variable:

export PATH=/usr/texbin:$PATH

so that MacTeX(TeX Live)-2009 is found before the MacPorts version. You will then be able to switch between the TeX Live 2009 and MacPorts distribution using the TeX Distribution System Preference Pane.
