[XeTeX] small caps not searcheable

Hi,

I thought this would be a FAQ, but I couldn't find a clear answer anywhere, so here it goes:

When using Minion Pro, text typeset in small caps is not searchable in the resulting PDF document. When the default font (CM) is used, text in small caps is searchable.

\documentclass{article}

% \textsc{fbi} is searchable only if those lines are commented out
\usepackage{xltxtra}
\setmainfont{Minion Pro}

\begin{document}
Small caps \textsc{fbi}

Uppercase FBI
\end{document}

%------------

What is the cause of this issue?
