[XeTeX] Suddenly fonts are not found

Will,

Thanks. It turns out this was the first sign of some problem with the  
directory structure of the disk. I apologize for suggesting it was a  
problem with XeTeX or fontspec. However, I did learn that one needs to  
avoid xdv2pdf and that my drive was in trouble. So I thank everyone  
for their suggestions and helping me avoid a major disk crash.
