using the components rather than a new code — otherwise you'll be
creating non-searchable documents.
The standard uppercasing of ß is two letters S, not one SS digraph. But
as far as the capital ß is concerned, you can design it the way you
prefer, but keep in mind that the very reason it was added is to provide
a codepoint for encoding an uppercase ß which is visually distinct from
two consecutive Ss.
