[XeTeX] problems with fontspec and german sharp s ligature

On my Apple:

press option-key and s -> ß
         option-key and u followed by the letter you wish to "umlaut", i.e.
         option-key and u then a -> ä
         option-key and u then shift-a -> Ä
 etc.

Experiment with option-key and letters, you will be surprised what there is
in your keyboard...
