In relation to the quotation sometimes made that the equation $1 + e^
{i\pi} = 0$ gathers the five most important constants of mathematics
(O, 1, \pi, e, i), and given that O and i couldn't possibly specify
version numbers, it seems that with TeX, MetaFont and XeTeX « la
boucle est bouclée » (a French saying, more-or-less the loop is looped):

- TeX and its version numbers asymptotic to \pi

- MetaFont and its version numbers asymptotic to e

- XeTeX and its version numbers asymptotic to 1

Sorry, I couldn't resist! No pun intended ;-)
