Using this creates problems. Font and input encodings are manipulated  
away from UTF/Unicode. Using

	\usepackage{fontspec}
	\setmainfont[Mapping=tex-text]{Latin Modern-Regular}

sets the default font for the Latin script. Umlauts will be  
preserved. Header lines will be set in some sans-serif font from  
Latin Modern. Could be

	\setsansfont[Mapping=tex-text]{<whatever>}

can control this – and of course you can use a serifed font for sans- 
serif ...
