Right now, I don't think the "install-xetex" script from my
repository would do the right thing in a TL2006 setup; it's aimed at
a (te)TeX kind of system without pre-installed xetex. I'll be
reviewing and updating this stuff when TL2006 is finalized.

You could build xetex from my repository and then just install the
binary by hand, I guess; that ought to work. But again, right now the
latest xetex code is what's in TL, not what's on scripts.sil.org.
After TL2006, I'll synch the sources and continue to use
scripts.sil.org for ongoing development, I expect.

You could also check out code directly from the TL repository, and
update from there, but that's a massive amount of code and a long
build process, as it involves all the hundreds of tools in the
release, not just xetex.

So my suggestion would be to switch to TL2006 at some point (either
the current pre-release, or wait for the final version which will
include last-minute bug fixes), but don't bother trying to update
xetex beyond that until after the TL release, when I'll return to
updating the xetex site, scripts, and packages.

Make sense?
