[XeTeX] footnotes with opentype superscript, and bibtex with xetex (quotes and hyphens)

As long as you're messing around in this area, I have had a problem  
with Hoefler Text that I would be delighted to be rid of. If that's  
possible, of course.

The footnote marker overlaps with the right double quotation mark.  
Here's an example.

\documentclass[11pt]{article}
%!TEX encoding = UTF-8 Unicode
\usepackage{fontspec,xunicode,xltxtra}
\setmainfont{Hoefler Text}

\begin{document}

"This is a footnote."\footnote{I'm the footnote.}

\end{document}
