  Yes, I see that.  And naively adding \usepackage{xunicode} does not
seem to solve the problem (Ross, in case you read this: LyX inserts
\guilsinglright and \guilsinglleft but apparently they're not converted
to the proper Unicode characters).  Nor does changing the output driver
help.  I have no other idea for the moment and I have to go attend a
lecture about PostScript and PDF ;-)
