Of course!

If I use pdfcrop --hires afterwards I get for the LaTeX output
uncropped/cropped:

415.719 x 81.2154 (bbox llx lly urx ury: 4.276125 - 0.828633 -
419.994901 - 82.043997)
415.71 x 81.2154 (bbox llx lly urx ury: 0.000000 - 0.000633 -
415.709987 - 81.215998)

And for XeLaTeX:

415.807 x 81.1619 (bbox llx lly urx ury: 4.294828 - 0.882070 -
420.101917 - 82.043997)
415.8 x 81.1619 (bbox llx lly urx ury: 0.000070 - 0.000070 -
415.799917 - 81.161998)

Does this answer your question?
