Fantastic, Will! Unfortunately, I had not yet completely purged my old
fink tetex installation from my machine (I'm now using Wierda's
TeXLive), and noticed a wire or two getting crossed with /sw/share/texmf
when I ran "updmap --enable Map=xeus.map" as per the xeuler installation
instructions. So I removed the finky tetex, ran texhash and updmap, and
then reran the xeuler installation instructions. Alas, I appear to have
broken something; now when I run xelatex I am getting the error

psfonts.map not found; texmf.cnf may be broken

psfonts does in fact live in
/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/fonts/map/dvips/updmap/ as a symlink
to psfonts_t1.map in the same dir. I've googled for answers for a
couple hours but to no avail, so with humble and abject apologies I
bring my problem to the attention of the XeTeX list. I suspect there is
an easy solution that is beyond my limited ken. Ordinary latex and
pdflatex still work fine, BTW, and generate no errors.
