     My only complaint is that I require a procedure (or a program) which

This would be clearly be a good thing, but it's not part of the
document itself.  If anyone ever writes such a thing, it could be
distributed with it.

    the right subdirectory, with no chance of having the same file
    duplicate, since duplication may lead to using an obsolete version owing
    to randomly path searching.

The way to avoid duplicates is to run find and check for them.
It is not always easy.
I agree it's a problem.
