I had suggested xfig, a FOSS package, in my last mail. There were also
other suggestions. All of them could be good for one or other
situation. Unfortunately, however, it takes quite a bit of time for a
novice to learn new packages.

To address this issue, we are carrying out a project to create spoken
tutorials, http://spoken-tutorial.org. All contributions in this page
will be under CC, although we have only a copyright statement as of
now. Through this project we hope to popularise FOSS and to bridge the
digital divide in India.

Coming back to the current discussion, I plan to create spoken tutorials
on xfig. Are there volunteers for any other package?
