Your package should go to a folder under:

  $TEXINPUTS.latex

In my system, the above variable expands to: $TEXMF/tex/{latex,generic,}
and $TEXMF expands to: $TEXMFMAIN, $TEXMFHOME, $TEXMFDIST, $TEXMFLOCAL, etc.

It might be better to create a directory under $TEXMFLOCAL/tex/latex.
$TEXMFLOCAL in my system is: /usr/local/share/texmf.

So, we will create a folder like:

 sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/share/texmf/tex/latex/sreejan

and copy your packages to the above folder. Update file database with
the command 'texhash' from the prompt. You are done.

You may kindly look at TeX's main configuration file, 'texmf.cnf' to
see where various environment variables cited above point to in your
system.

The following command can tell you where the configuration file sits
in your system:

  kpsewhich texmf.cnf

Have I answered your question? If you have more doubts, please don't
hesitate to get back to me.

Happy TeXing and best regards
