Please  try 

\renewcommand{\today}{%
 {\dn\number\day}.{\dn\number\month}.{\dn\number\year}} 

I don't know whether you use dots to separate the fields in formatting 
dates in Sanskrit. You can make suitable changes in the definition to suit 
the formatting
