[Tugindia] list of symbols extractions

Sirs,
I wished to have list of symbols extracted from my document.

I downloaded losymbol.sty but wondering how to use it. I tried to use 

\listofsymbols
 
command in my document but of no help.

Please suggest me how to extarct list of symbols easily from a thesis 
document.
