[Tugindia] Math operator

[Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana]

Hello,

I want to define new math operator , for that I tried 
\DeclareMathOperator{\Max}{Max}
But it gives errors undefined control sequence. What is wrong?
I tried it with \usepackage{amssymb} also.
Any hint?
