TeX or graphics package is totally unaware of the graphic content, let
alone the color.  It looks for the bounding box only.  Further, web2c
TeX doesn't support tiff images, meaning you do use some other
implementation and your dvi=>ps translator could be different.  The
problem may be debugged taking view of this.
