[Tugindia] pagestyle in thesis

Dear TeXusers,

      I am using the option \pagestyle{thesis} which puts
the chapter's title and a line beneath with page numbers
positioned accordingly for odd and even pages.

      I need to put just the plain page numbers without
the chapter's title and line.  If I use \pagestyle{empty}
though it knocks off the chapter's title the page numbers
also gets removed.

       Kindly suggest me a way to do it.  I am using
the book option with oneside print.
