[Tugindia] Devnag Problems

Hello.
 Apologise for the repetitive problem.
I have just started using LaTeX and  thought of  being
familiar with Devnag package.

I am using MikTeX and WinEdt.

For devnagari I created a file test.dn under notepad.
It saved as test.dn with its contents: 

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{dev} 
\begin{document}
...some text...
\end{document}

When I run devnag test.dn I get the following error
message: cannot open file test.dn.

Can someone please point me in the correct direction.
