Kindly use the option texnansi. This will help you to avoid this problem

AFMTOTFM -x -c=texnansi <filename.afm>

Subject: [Tugindia] Ligure problem in Font

Dear TUGIndia,

I likes to know the various possibility to generate TFM files from PFM/PFB
font files. Usually, i am using FontLab to make the changes to my PFM/PFB
files.
When i generate TFM from PFA files, i come across some ligature problem.

For example, ff, fl and fi are showing different characters in my DVI.

I need some more assistants from you.

With Warm Regards
S.Ragu
