[Tugindia] how to include .tif graphics ?

I found that I am actually using Pdftex 1.10a (perhaps the latest).
The note on the version says that the support for .tif is removed!
I tried \usepackage[dvips]{graphicx} to get .tif images included in Latex 
document.
