After study 'config.status' and 'defines.awk' files generated in 'texk/kpathsea' directory, I find that the rule in 'defines.awk' can not detect pattern in 'c-auto.h' file due to CRLF terminate the end of a line in Windows system that different in Unix system.

And I find a web page discuss this subject 'config.status produces incompatible defines.awk and config.h' in

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-autoconf/2010-09/msg00000.html

It look like in Windows/MinGW , the script file 'defines.awk' do not work well due to CRLF termination of a line.

Could someone suggest a way to work around ?
