I tried building dvisvgm on an older machine with a number of
dependencies already installed (and directly from the sources rather
than from the TL build).

I'm experiencing another problem:

Making all in doc

The weird thing is that as soon as I re-run "make", the second attempt
works just fine.

Any hints appreciated.
