Hi Taco,

since Norbert announced that debian will switch from libpng 1.2.x to 1.6.x,
I had a look into that problem and have updated texk/dvipdfm-x/pngimage.c,
texk/web2c/luatexdir/image/writepng.w, and texk/web2c/pdftexdir/writepng.c
such that they work with libpng >=1.6.3 and switched libpng in the TL tree
from 1.5.17 to 1.6.8 (in r32548 of the TL SVN repository on Jan 2).

There were a few other changes to the LuaTeX sources all recorded in
luatexdir/ChangeLog.

It would be nice if 'mpost -version' could display the kpathsea version (as
mf and all TeX-like engines except LuaTeX do) and would also display the
pixman and cairo versions (see pixman/pixtest.c and cairo/cairotst.c how
that can be done). Same for 'luatex -credits' which should also display the
MetaPost version.

Regards
Peter
