Hi Karl,

I have just did a minor update (r15737) of the build system such that
non-VPATH builds should now work (but probably still require GNU make).

I suppose you'll want to create a new texlive-200910xx-source tarball.

BTW: from where did Ingmar get the tarball? In
ftp://ftp.tug.org/texlive/Source/ I only see an old one from Aug 2008.
