Hi,
Jonathan's patch did get past the error, thanks. I think it's nearly finished when this happens:

SHLIB_PATH=../lib:../stubdata:../tools/ctestfw:$SHLIB_PATH  ../bin/genbrk -c -i ./out/build/icudt38b -r brkitr/title.txt -o out/build/icudt38b/brkitr/title.brk
genbrk: tool completed successfully.
SHLIB_PATH=../lib:../stubdata:../tools/ctestfw:$SHLIB_PATH  ../bin/genctd -c -i ./out/build/icudt38b -o out/build/icudt38b/brkitr/thaidict.ctd brkitr/thaidict.txt
genctd: tool completed successfully.
/bin/sh: Syntax error at line 7 : `;' is not expected.
