Hi!

The path in preferences pointed to 2012, but for pdflatex the full path was given for the program in the tools and it pointed to 2011.
So I suppressed all explicit references to the path for the tools. And that solved the problem.

Thanks,
Hi!

Yes TeXworks looks in TeXLive2011, BUT

The path under Edit / Preferences / Typesetting points to
C:/texlive/2012/bin/win32
C:/texlive/2012/bin
and there is no 2011 there.

So, and I think this is important, the path in Preferences
is changed by ???
How to make TeXworks points to the right place?

Thanks,
The error message suggests that TeXworks looks in the 2011
folder, not 2012, so change the path. You say it is set up
to point to 2012, but according to the error message it
doesn't look there. Take an extra look at the setup.
But if I compile it with TeXmaker, it works!!!

Why is the hobby package not found by TeXworks?

I have
C:/texlive/2012/bin/win32
C:/texlive/2012/bin
in the path of TeXworks

hobby is in
C:\texlive\2012\texmf-dist\__tex\latex\hobby where one
can find tikzlibraryhobby.code.tex,
pgflibraryhobby.code.tex and hobby.code.tex (as well as
pml3array.sty).
