<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><br>Hello,<br><br>I recently installed MikTex 2.8 which came with TexWorks.While I'm sure TexWorks is excellent, TeXnicCentre is my LaTeX editor of choice. Unfortunately TexWorks is now associated with the .tex file extension and I cannot revert it. If I change the file association to TeXnicCentre it simply reverts back to TexWorks. Please can someone tell me how to permanently change the file association?<br><br>I'm running Windows XP SP3, I suspect that TexWorks has made some file association registry keys read-only and this why I cannot change it back, but I am no registry expert.<br><br>Please help,<br><br>Richard<br></td></tr></table><br>
