<div>There is a lua script for calling the help system, callable from within the Lua enabled version of TeXWorks, or the file may be opened as a stand alone, <font size="1">

<p><font size="2">Unzip into your TeXWorks binary directory allowing folders, move the Lua script into your Script directory under Config. Restart TeXWorks, and highlight a phrase for searching in CTAN informaton, then choose the Ctan help from the Script Menu.</font></p>
<p><font size="2">This is designed for Google Chrome under MS Windows, but the batch file can be altered for most uptodate browsers. However you may want the JavaScript speed of Chrome for this project - its said to be upto 10 times faster than some other browsers.</font></p>

<p><font size="2">There are over 2000 entries in the excellantly constructed CTAN document, the scripting in the zip copy lets you search the description text and links offline. This does not search the full package information as CTAN does on line but gives a good quick reference that may be enough often.</font></p>
<p><font size="2">For example in finding the name of a package for some job when you can not remember it, or discovering what to use. If you are online and click on the links, the CTAN package information is displayed as expected.</font></p>
