Dear Jonathan,<div><br></div><div>Here is an update, extract to the TexWorks binary directory (read the enclosed 1-latex-help-update.txt first) - allow overwriting of files and directories/folders when you extract.</div><div>
<br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;"><b>Update:</b></span></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse; "> <a href="http://paulanorman.com/delphi/latex-help update 0001 - 2009 October 3rd 6-15pm NZST.zip">http://paulanorman.com/delphi/latex-help update 0001 - 2009 October 3rd 6-15pm NZST.zip</a></span></div>
<div><br></div><div>At this point to make it easier for anyone starting from scratch - I have put all files including the update in this zip again.</div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;"><b>Starting from Scratch:</b></span></div>

<div><div>I have been thinking a bit about this during the day (our time down here in New Zealand!).</div><div><br></div><div>What seems to be needed to really help make (La)TeX accessible and inviting, is for a user to be able to say to themselves,</div>

Thanks Jonathan,<div><br></div><div>Absolutely It is extremely draft.</div><div><br></div><div>It would really do for some sort of project perhaps linked to the LaTeX Wiki and like?</div><div><br></div><div>Although dated, the information will most likely prove to be sound in many areas due to the extreme stability of TeX and Lamport's system itself. NASA run the same aged material with a modified style sheet! (<a href="http://www.giss.nasa.gov/tools/latex/ltx-2.html" target="_blank">http://www.giss.nasa.gov/tools/latex/ltx-2.html</a>)</div>
<div><br></div><div>It would be really neat to have updates and important packages added - I'm certainly one for having a go at some of that.</div><div><br></div><div>Paul<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">2009/10/3 Jonathan Kew <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:jfkthame@googlemail.com" target="_blank">jfkthame@googlemail.com</a>></span><div>

<br>
Wow... this is really neat! Yes, I think we could easily set it up to<br>
work with TW on other platforms and browsers as well.<br>
<br>
One caveat: considering the history of the material, I do wonder<br>
whether parts of it could benefit from updating for newer LaTeX<br>
releases and packages.... as an *extremely* occasional, casual LaTeX<br>
user I'm not the person to attempt this, but it would be good if some<br>
experienced users could take a look.<br>
<br>
Thanks,<br>
