[texworks] TeXshop encoding synonyms may be wrong

Thanks for pointing this out. This is quite old code (written by
Jonathan, I presume), so I don't know if there was a reason for doing it
this way or not. I guess the best would be if someone could open the
attached file in TeXShop and send me a screenshot of the result - then
we can be sure, at least in terms of compatibility with TeXShop.
