[texworks] hide pdflatex output during the running

If I understood the original request correctly this checkbox doesn't do
what Martin wants. As the name "auto-hide" should suggest, the panel is
displayed and then hidden again after LaTeX is run (as opposed to not
displayed in the first place), AFAIK.

In response to Martin's question: I'm afraid there is no such option.
Displaying the messages on the screen should not take too much of CPU
time (if it did there'd be another problem), and the messages have to be
read from the LaTeX process anyway (to determine if an error occurs).
Since I don't know how texmaker works in detail, I can only speculate
what the cause of this discrepancy is. First of all: did you test both
(Tw and tm) with the same document? How many are "a lot of seconds"? Are
there many images/floats inside? Did you use \input or \include? All of
this (and probably many other things) may significantly influence the
performance, depending on how the build process is actually implemented.
Also, could you post a test document so we can reproduce this problem?
