As Herb says, this is a matter of personal taste. I don't have any  
strong opinion on it myself (and I'm not doing significant LaTeX  
authoring, so I don't actually use that feature anyway).

If I get the impression that lots of people would prefer this changed  
in the default configuration, it'd be no problem, but if nobody else  
seems to care then I'm inclined to leave things as they were inherited  
from TeXShop.
