[texworks] Error which goes away after cleaning intermediate files.

It's hard to know without more information, but this looks like the  
TeX compilation is sometimes terminating prematurely, and the aux file  
or something similar is getting messed up. It's a good idea to enter  
"x" or "q" when you hit a compilation error and don't want to continue  
the typesetting run to avoid these sorts of problems.
