</span>"textpos" isn't suitable for the process. It will place the object anywhere I<br>
want it; however, it is superimposed on the text. The text does not flow<br>
around it.<br>

I am finding it rather hard to believe that something MS Word does so<br>
effortlessly, is for all practical purposes, impossible in LaTeX. If I had the<br>
ability, which I don't, I would create a package that does just that.<br>
