<br clear="all"><div><br></div><div>My copy of TexShop (version 2.47) seems to do the following:</div><div><br></div><div>If I use the Statistics macro to count words or characters, words in footnotes do not seem to be included.  However, words in endnotes (using the <b>endnote</b> package) do seem to count. I happen to use both footnotes and endnotes in my manuscript.  It's not a crisis, of course, a curiosity.</div>
