 * Concerning my earlier suggestions on DVI viewers:
   may be completed by trying Windows-based Viewers via Wine

       https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_%28software%29

   especially Christian Schenk's YAP

       https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yet_Another_Previewer#DVI

       http://miktex.org/about

 * PostScript: may be needed for non-horizontal text
   (rotated or following paths) and plots of non-Bezier function
   graphs, but just a flowchart could be typeset by simpler
   means such as

   * grapher, http://ctan.org/pkg/grapher

   * package flowchart, based on PGF/TikZ,

         http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/graphics/pgf/contrib/flowchart

   * https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diagramming_software#Flowchart

     -- a list of software packages for flowcharts etc.

 HTH -- Uwe.
