[texhax] Multiple versions of weave.web 4.4?

Hi Brian,

    two different files that both identify themselves as weave.web 
    Version 4.4.

That is surprising to me too.

    Did Knuth make a fix and keep the Version at 4.4?

I hope so, because I'd be depressed if someone else made the change.

    If Knuth made such a fix, do you know when he did so?

No idea, but you might check the tarballs at
ftp://tug.org/historic/systems/knuth.
