[texhax] wrapping literal text

Hi

I would like to display literal text like  

72071/23214-1/69642*3^(1/2)*((4043340457*(10339022645130889+13060694016*657678738^(1/2))^(1/3)+19345*(10339022645130889+13060694016*657678738^(1/2))^(2/3)+917775329969665)/(10339022645130889+13060694016*657678738^(1/2))^(1/3))^(1/2)-
...several more lines

I have discovered that verbatim puts everything on one line.  Also it
would be great if all the displayed lines had the same with, as the
lines need not be broken at "nice" places.

Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
