What do you mean by "script"? That is the problem I have encountered.
Have you tried ${\cal{L}}$ (for caligraphic)? Is that satisfactory?
If so, it may solve your problem, but not all of the caligraphic characters
are what I've wanted when I thought I wanted "script".
