[texdoc] unix: texdoc

Good afternoon,

 

Thank you for the texdoc tool.  It is great and a helpful tool, esp. in the teaching process.

 

I have recently installed TeX Live 2011.  The texdoc tool is working well under Microsoft Windows (7 Home).  I also tried Ubuntu 11.04 and Debian 6 (using virtual environment via VMware Player) as I dislike to have TeX Live 2009 there using plain „sudo apt-get install texlive-full“...  

 

Installation went fine, but after trying „texdoc“ I’m getting:

 

user at debian:~$ texdoc lshort

/usr/local/texlive/2011/bin/i386-linux/texdoc:7: module 'texdoc.main' not found:

                no field package.preload['texdoc.main']

user at debian:~$ texdoctk
