<p>I have downloaded the files from CTAN and I copied them to an 8 GB thumb drive.

<p>I want to be able to launch TeX Live from the thumb drive. </p>

<p>Can you please tell me what needs to be done so I can do that? I thought it was enough to install it on the thumb drive, but I cannot find a way to store the downloaded programs and files on the thumb drive.
