You can usually check this by looking at the name of the folder generated by unzipping the installer zip. Part of the name is a date.

<div dir="ltr">I just downloaded the network install tarball for TeXLive 2013 from the texlive webpage (15 Jun 2014 0900 EDT).

<div>The release-texlive.txt file says "2013". When I execute "./install-tl gui perltk", the installer says it is installing TeXLive 2013 and wants to install in the /usr/local/texlive/2013 directories.</div>
