If there is a missing</div><div>dependency, it should be fixed in that scheme (in 2014!)</div><div><br></div><div>On the other hand, BasicTeX is just convenient packaging for users</div><div>with slow downloads or minimal space who don't mind retrieving extra packages</div><div>if needed.
